PROMICFINDER Platform for Protein Identification and Quantification

The combination of high-performance liquid chromatography and high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) has emerged as a powerful and universal method for the global measurement of proteins. Unlike traditional western-blot or ELISA methods, MS-based technology can identify and quantify protein mixtures simultaneously on a large scale. The PROMICFINDER Platform is a highly sensitive, quantitative, and reproducible proteomic tool for the profiling of proteins (up to 3,000 different proteins) from a single gel band sample, IP sample, or un-fractioned cell/tissue lysate sample, by a 110 min LC-MS/MS run.

Standardized SOPs for sample preparation and LC-MS/MS analysis ensure the quality and reproducibility of the data. Results are reported in a standardized format ready for generating publishable data.

Overview:

mCherry mRNA (N1-Me-Pseudo UTP) is expressed in cells after transfection to produce the red fluorescent protein mCherry. This protein is a derivative of the red fluorescent protein DsRed originally isolated from Discosoma species (sea anemones). mCherry is a monomeric fluorescent protein with an excitation maximum at 587 nm and an emission maximum at 610 nm. Due to its excellent photostability, it is widely used in biology for molecular labeling and cellular localization studies. This product can serve as a positive control for mRNA transfection, or be used for screening and validation of delivery vectors, as well as for verification of expression systems and manufacturing processes.
