This method involves the extraction of DNA from animal tissue samples and the subsequent amplification of genomic regions of interest by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The amplified products are then analyzed based on their size by agarose gel electrophoresis, with an option to confirm the expected sequence by Sanger DNA sequencing
